Homeowner awakens to burglar

104th PRECINCT

A man was awakened by noises coming from his roof and kitchen on September 13, only to find a burglar – or at least part of him – in the apartment.
According to the district attorney, Olger Castro was trying to gain entry to the location on Palmetto Street through a kitchen window when the resident foiled him.
Castro fled and ran up the fire escape to the roof, where he was apprehended.
He is charged with burglary in the second degree.
