CORONA — A 43-year-old Ridgewood man was arrested after he allegedly used a stolen MasterCard to purchase items at a store on National Street in Corona, the Queens district attorney said.
Jorge Hinnaoui, of 74-31 64th Lane in Ridgewood, was arraigned Oct. 9 before Queens Criminal Court Judge Stephanie Zaro on charges of grand larceny, identity theft and unlawful possession of personal identification information, Queens DA Richard Brown said.
The defendant, released on his own recognizance, will return to court Oct. 27, the DA said.
The credit card’s owner had accidentally left the card at a store in Corona, the DA said. The defendant allegedly pocketed the card and later attempted to buy sneakers with it, Brown said.
