Fight over work lands man in jail, other in the hospital

106th PRECINCT

One man may need reconstructive surgery – and another man was arrested – following an altercation over work at the Home Depot on Rockaway Boulevard near 112th Street on December 16.
According to documents obtained from the district attorney’s office, Ramon Dela Rosa, 40, of Brooklyn, argued with the 39-year-old victim after he “tried to take his work.”
Dela Rosa “grabbed a wooden level, about three feet long . . . swung the level one time and hit him.”
The victim was taken to an area hospital with a concussion, cerebral bleeding and multiple facial fractures to his right cheek and right orbital eye socket. Doctors say he will need reconstructive surgery to his face.
Dela Rosa is charged with assault and criminal possession of a weapon. He was arraigned on $5,000 bail.
