Two Brooklyn teens were charged with attempted murder this week after they allegedly stabbed a 12-year-old friend more than a dozen times in Ridgewood’s Highland Park last weekend, Queens District Attorney Richard Brown said.

Wayne Henderson 15, was arraigned Monday before Queens Criminal Court Judge Lenora Gerald on charges of second-degree attempted murder and first- and second-degree assault, the DA said. His 14-year-old girlfriend, Carina Parache, was slated to be arraigned on the same charges, according to the DA’s office.

Henderson allegedly attacked Luis Martinez, 12, following an argument at the park and stabbed him in the face, neck, chest, hands and back, DA Richard Brown said. Parache also participated in the fight by allegedly kicking the boy in the stomach, according to the DA.

“Unarmed, the victim suffered more than a dozen stab wounds to his upper body, including defensive wounds to both hands, as the defendant allegedly attacked him. This case will be vigorously prosecuted,” Brown said.

Both face up to 10 years in prison as a juvenile offender if convicted and was ordered held on $250,000 bail, according to the DA.

The New York Post reported Henderson and his friends had been smoking marijuana while in the park, but police would not confirm this. After the stabbing, the couple allegedly ditched the murder weapon at the scene of the crime and fled, the DA said.

The 12-year-old, also of Brooklyn, managed to stagger to the Jackie Robinson Parkway, where he flagged down a driver who called 911, police said. He was taken to Jamaica Hospital, where he was treated for multiple stab wounds, including four stab wounds to the torso, four stab wounds to the back and two stab wounds to the neck, the DA said.

In addition, the boy’s left internal and right external jugular veins were cut, causing extreme blood loss, the DA said. The 12-year-old underwent reconstructive surgery to his jugular veins. He was transferred to New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center and the DA said he was in serious condition.

Henderson will return to court Jan. 25, the DA said.
