The mid-winter Nor’easter that paralyzed the nation’s capital and blanketed much of the Atlantic seaboard with snow turned Queens into one giant playground for many last week.
On Wednesday, February 10, while the city’s strongest plowed away and business in the Big Apple managed to get done, kids were treated with the school system’s first snow day in years.
Parents who could spent the day with their little snow angels, having frigid fun wherever there was a slope, such as this one in Juniper Valley Park.
The little tykes went flying – sometimes literally – down the hill and clambered back up as fast as they could, under the watchful eyes of parents who occasionally joined in. A day out in the cold made for a lifetime of warm memories.
