Wheelie big show at Javits Center

Car enthusiasts, start your engines!

The New York International Auto Show (NYIAS) will hit full-throttle from April 2-11, boasting more sneak peeks; new 2010 and 2011 production models, and more concept vehicles for viewing than ever before.

Companies such as BMW, Honda, Lexus, Mazda, and a full lineup of others will reveal new models to attendees – beginning with a special public sneak preview on Friday, April 2 from 11 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.

Official opening day is on Saturday, April 3, with festivities beginning at 9 a.m. and the show floor opening at 11 a.m. On April 6 and 7, an automotive career fair will begin at 9 a.m., with free admission to students.

Saturday, April 10 and Sunday, April 11 will feature “The Dub Show Tour,” showcasing customs, exotics, and celebrity-owned vehicles all day.

Throughout the week of the event, there will be ride-and-drives hosted by Kia Motors, Camp Jeep, and EV Pavilion, and classic cars will be the spotlight of the LeMay Museum Exhibit.

There will be free prizes and giveaways courtesy of Hyundai, Kia Motors, and Suzuki, as well as contest entries for a trip to the Caribbean and a luxury cruise to Tahiti.

The show will be held at the Jacob Javits Center, located at 655 West 34th Street in Manhattan. Tickets are $14 for adults age 13 and up, $4 for children ages 2-12, and free for infants age 1 and under. For more information on the NYIAS, visit www.autoshowny.com.
