Man uses tambourine as weapon in assault: DA

BAYSIDE — A Flushing man certainly was not singing “Hey, Mr. Tambourine Man” after allegedly being smacked in the face with a musical instrument at a bar March 24.

Flushing resident Min Choi, 35, was arrested after allegedly using a tambourine to strike another patron at Karaoke MOA on Bell Boulevard, police said.

The blow to the face caused redness, bleeding, swelling and lacerations, police said.

Choi was charged with felony assault, according to police.
