Queens Library college fair

Queens Library is hosting a college and higher education fair where potential students and families can meet with representatives of more than 40 colleges, universities and trade schools. Admission is free. It will take place on Saturday, April 24, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Queens Library at Langston Hughes, 100-01 Northern Boulevard in Corona. For further information or travel and transit directions, please phone 718-651-1100.
Representatives will be there to discuss financial aid options, prepping for SATs and other tests, admissions criteria and more. There will be a panel discussion, raffle prizes, giveaways and entertainment.
Some of the questions experts will answer include: How can you afford college? Is a community college the right place to start? Can you really earn a degree by studying online? Would you be better off working part-time and studying part-time? Do you dream of an idyllic college campus someplace far away? Is military service the best option for you?
Expect to meet representatives from programs as diverse as Wesleyan University, CUNY colleges, SUNY colleges, Vaughn College of Aeronautics and Technology, St. John’s U., Culinary Academy of Long Island, Bank Street College of Education and many more.
