DOUGLASTON — A 39-year-old Douglaston woman was arrested after she allegedly forced her way past a resident of a building in which she previously lived and refused to leave his apartment, the Queens district attorney said.
Blanca Mejia, of 253-17 Northern Blvd. in Douglaston, was arraigned March 28 on a criminal trespass charge and released on her own recognizance, Queens DA Richard Brown said. The defendant will return to court May 6.
Mejia knocked on the door of a man who lives in a building at Northern Boulevard and Jessie Court in Douglaston and then allegedly pushed her way past him into his apartment, the DA said. The defendant allegedly told the man she would not leave his apartment until he gave her money that she said he owed her, Brown said.
