A 21-year-old cabbie and his friend were arrested and charged after the pair allegedly beat a passenger to death.
Deevan Jagmarine, 21, a driver with Royal Car & Limo Service, and his friend, 19-year-old Alex Gobardhan, face charges of murder, robbery and criminal possession of stolen property after video surveillance helped police nab the two.
The body of 58-year-old Ramnarain Matadin was discovered on Tuesday, August 17 at 89-12 Arion Road with trauma to the head.
The victim’s property, including wallet, bracelet and cell phone, was recovered, reportedly at the suspects’ homes.
