FLUSHING — A 30-year-old Flushing man was arrested after he was allegedly spotted outside his residence with a shotgun and was discovered to be in possession of cocaine, the Queens district attorney said.
Joshua Obrikis of Flushing was arraigned Aug. 22 before Queens Criminal Court Judge Lenora Gerald on charges of criminal possession of a controlled substance and possessing rifles and shotguns, Queens DA Richard Brown said.
The defendant, who will return to court Oct. 15, is alleged to have been standing outside his home with a loaded Remington 12-gauge shotgun, the DA said. Upon entering his residence, police are alleged to have found cocaine, Brown said.
The defendant allegedly told police he had registered the guns in New Jersey, but forgot to “switch them over,” the DA said.
