A Brooklyn man was killed and a teenager was injured during a shooting that took place on a Jamaica block Friday night, police said.

Officers responded to a call of shots fired in front of a house at 111th Avenue and 159th Street around 9:30 p.m. and found Isidro Francis of Crown Street dead from a gunshot wound to his head, police said.

Half of the block includes an industrial site that was not open during the time of the shooting and many of the homes were rundown and in disorder.

A next-door neighbor claimed not to have heard any noise during the time of the shooting and other residents refused to talk.

Francis was not the only victim of the incident, according to investigators. Police found a second victim at Logan Street and Atlantic Avenue later in the night.

The unidentified 18-year-old was shot in the torso and rushed to Brookdale Hospital in stable condition, according to police.

No suspects were named or arrested as of press time Tuesday, police said. The investigation was ongoing.

Southeast Queens has seen a surge in murders over the last year that sources say are predominantly linked to a rise in the amount of gang activity. It was unknown what was the cause of this weekend’s shooting.
