Queens Center Mall has opened its latest store — just in time for the holiday season.
Victoria’s Secret Pink, a popular brand of the lingerie retailer Victoria’s Secret, opened its doors on November 11. The brand sells loungewear, including sweaters and sleepwear. Victoria’s Secret Pink is one of five stores opening at the mall for the holidays.
“Our shoppers are already excited about Victoria’s Secret Pink,” said Jeff Owen, Queens Center’s senior property manager. “It’s one of our largest new store openings at over 4,000 square feet.”
Two other stores have also already opened at the mall. Clear, a high-speed 4G mobile Internet service, opened on October 1 and Markens Jewelers, which sells gold, silver, and diamond jewelry and watches, opened October 28.
Two more stores will open before the holiday season ends. Seattle’s Best, an international coffee chain, is slated to open on November 26, followed by Crocs, a footwear line, on December 15. With the holidays just around the corner, Owen said the new stores would do great, and would benefit the mall beyond the season.
“When we partner with these stores it keeps us at the forefront of the current styles and we enhance merchandise and the shoppers’ experience.” Owen said.
Queens Center will also host its second Black Friday midnight opening, Owen said, where the first 300 people will receive a $10 gift card.
“All retailers are excited and it was extremely successful last year,” Owen said. “Customers are excited and asked about it.”
Two more stores are scheduled to open next year. Yankee Candle, a popular candle brand, and Vans, an apparel and footwear brand, will open in 2011.
