Pedestrian killed in hit and run

A pedestrian struck on the southbound Van Wyck Expressway near 97th Avenue on Dec 7.
Police said an unidentified M/50’s was sitting at the right side curb line of the south bound Van Wyck Expressway when a vehicle traveling south bound in the right lane struck the victim. The vehicle continued south fleeing the scene. EMS responded to the location and transported the victim Jamaica Hospital where he was pronounced DOA. There are no arrests at this time; the investigation is ongoing.
