Wrapping up toy drive

P.S. 22 students concluded the “Children Helping Children: Light Up Our Community” toy drive by wrapping gifts at the Fo Guang Shan Buddhist Temple of New York, located in Flushing, on Thursday, December 16. This was the third year that the school, also in Flushing, and temple collaborated to collect toys and stationary.
More than 300 items were collected this year. In addition to some being given to New York Hospital Queens for sick children, about 100 were also given to children of soldiers stationed overseas during the holiday.
“We would like to pass our love and [caring] to our community together with P.S. 22Q students,” said Venerable Chueh Chaun, the Abbess of the Fo Gunag Shan Buddhist Temple.
