Queens teens’ attack on worker seen on YouTube: Cops

By Howard Koplowitz

A mob of teenage girls from Martin Van Buren High School attacked a cashier at a Wendy’s in Queens Village and the melee was caught on video and posted on YouTube, according to police.

Detective Jovoda Cooper of the 105th Precinct said the employee was “beat up” at the Wendy’s on Hillside Avenue by Springfield Boulevard and that footage of the large fight was posted to the video-sharing website.

The video, titled “Martin Van Buren HIgh School Students Mobb On A Female Wendy’s Employee!,” shows the cashier attempting to try and control a large mob of girls that entered the establishment before she was attacked.

“This is a police matter and the school is cooperating with police,” said Margie Feinberg, a spokeswoman for the city Department of Education.

The video had been taken off YouTube by Wednesday.
