WOODHAVEN — A Woodhaven man was arraigned on criminal mischief charges after he allegedly broke his neighbor’s doorbell, a spokeswoman for Queens District Attorney Richard Brown said.
Jose Polanco, 43, of 87-13 94th St. in Woodhaven, was allegedly seen by his neighbor pulling the wires out of her doorbell and ripping it off the wall around 10:05 p.m. March 22, according to the criminal complaint.
Polanco claimed the door bell was ringing for over an hour and that he went down to fix it, according to the complaint.
Polanco was arraigned March 23 before Queens Criminal Court Judge John Zoll, who released him on his own recognizance, the spokeswoman said.
His next court date is scheduled for May 5, the spokeswoman said.
