An open letter to city Schools Chancellor Cathie Black:
Community Board 8 held its monthly meeting March 16. Its members voted unanimously in favor of the resolution against rollover budget cuts to city schools. The confiscation of this reserve budget is destructive to our school community and will cause the elimination of programs, class sizes to explode and the loss of teaching positions.
