The Town of Oyster Bay and business faculty from Nassau Community College will be conducting a series of free informative seminars on three consecutive Friday mornings, beginning April 29, at Town Hall in Oyster Bay.
Professor Jack Mandel of Nassau Community College’s Department of Marketing Retailing/Fashion/Interior Design, is the program coordinator.
On Friday, April 29, from 9 to 10:30 a.m., Professor Susan Goldson of the Department of Office Technology will discuss medical/business practice; from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Professor Edward Hom of the Department of Mathematics/Computer Science and Information Technology will speak.
On May 6, from 9 to 10:30 a.m., Professor Dean J. Holzmann, Esq. of the Department of Legal Studies will discuss legal considerations of any small Long Island business; Mandel will then discuss the “art” of magnetic marketing and how to attract customers.
The following week, Professor Dawn DiStefano of the Department of Marketing Retailing/Fashion/Interior Design will speak on building business through E-Commerce; following, Professor Caroline Falconetti, CPA, of the Department of Accounting/Business Administration, will discuss making smart cash choices.
