Members of the 2011 Queens Go Red For Women Breakfast Committee recently gathered for a picture at Citi Field. Go Red For Women is a campaign of the American Heart Association that seeks to promote awareness of heart disease in women.
The Queens committee will hold its fourth annual breakfast from 8 to 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 9 at the Sheraton LaGuardia East Hotel, which is located at 135-20 39th Avenue in Flushing. This year’s honorees will be Jill Knee, Director of Community Outreach for the New York Mets, and Lois Christie, President and CEO of Christie & Co. Salon • Spa and President of Intercoiffure America/Canada. Lifedesigns, LLC President and CEO Gail Blanke will be the guest speaker.
