Long Island City’s most industrious individuals marked the merging of two business advocacy groups in the area. The Long Island City Business Improvement District (LICBID) and the Long Island City Business Development Corporation (LICBDC) joined together to form LIC Partnership at their spring gathering on Wednesday, May 25.
The organization revealed its new web site and logo at the meeting, but their aim remains the same – to nurture industrial, commercial, cultural and residential growth in western Queens.
Gary Kesner, executive vice president at Silvercup Studios, sits on the board for the organization. He said that L.I.C. is a great place for any business to take root – as its eclectic residents have a wide array of interests.
“The evolution of this organization reflects what L.I.C. wants from the business community,” he said. “The neighborhood will continue to grow and be a focal point for business in New York City for years to come.”
