The TimesLedger Newspapers is merging one of its western Queens editions into the Astoria Times to give readers more comprehensive coverage of their community.
The Astoria Times, which will incorporate the Jackson Heights Times, will offer more stories about adjoining neighborhoods. Readers will be able to track news developments as well as trends in the arts and business across a wider geographic area where residents share common interests.
The first issue of the new Astoria Times will be published July 7.
Later this summer the TimesLedger Newspaper will be launching a new web site, which will enhance our daily coverage of western Queens and give voices in the community a better forum.
