REGO PARK — A Sears employee was arraigned on petit larceny charges after she allegedly stole more than $1,700 from the Rego Park department store, a spokeswoman for Queens District Attorney Richard Brown said.
Latisha Martinez, 21, of 303 Vernon Ave. in Brooklyn, allegedly stole $599 June 1, $560 June 8 and $623 June 10 after a Sears security officer caught her on store surveillance tapes, according to the criminal complaint.
Martinez was arraigned last Thursday before Queens Criminal Court Judge Elisa Koenderman, who released Martinez on her own recognizance, the spokeswoman said.
Martinez is next scheduled to appear in court Aug. 4, the spokeswoman said.
