For fans of Queens’ own Pia Toscano, her time on “American Idol” may have been cut short, but now she’s back with a brand-new single.
Toscano, a Howard Beach native, took the stage recently in Utah on the “American Idol” tour to perform her first song, “This Time.”
During her time on “Idol” Toscano was a favorite of fans and the panel of judges alike, but that could not save her from a shocking early elimination. Though the Queens crooner only made the top 9, she parlayed her talents into a record deal with Interscope Records.
Her single will be officially released digitally on July 12. The song was written and co-produced by Esther Dean who has worked with many of the music business’ biggest star including Katy Perry, Rihanna and Mary J. Blige.
The American Idol features the show’s top 11 performers in 44-city tour. The concert will be at the Nassau Coliseum on August 23 and 24.
