Best of the Boro Competition: You Vote, They Win

The Queens Courier will place the power of choice with the people who dine at Queens’ eateries – you. August 8 will mark the launch of the first Best of the Boro Competition: Restaurants & Bars. This competition will give Queens residents the chance to choose the nominees and decide who is best. You vote, they win.
With thousands of restaurants throughout the borough, Queens residents don’t lack choice. Whether you are craving a burger, a gyro, a beer or a burrito, your every craving can be fulfilled. The only problem is sorting all the options to find the cream of the crop. There is really only one way to decide what the best is – use the wisdom of the crowd and let the public decide.
Restaurants and Bars will be the first category in the Best of the Boro. Sub categories will range from best beer selection and happy hour to best night club and martini; from best soup and salad to best coffee and dessert; from the best Mexican and Thai restaurants to best Italian and Indian restaurants. Each subcategory will crown a winner and be named Best of the Boro.
To nominate your favorite restaurant click here. There you can nominate your favorite eatery in multiple categories or choose a different restaurant for each category.
Nominations can be submitted beginning at midnight on Monday, August 8 and will last through the end of the month. Voting will open on September 1 and last through October 7. Stay up-to-the-minute with the contest by liking Best of the Boro on Facebook and following on Twitter.
All you need to vote is a valid email and live in the continental United States. One vote per email address per day is allowed. The results will be tabulated by a third party administrator.
Remember you don’t want your favorites to be left off the list, so be sure to nominate the restaurants and bars you feel stand out as the Best of the Boro.
