Located at 46-01 108th Street in Corona, Oh So Dressy first opened in 1993 and has served the neighborhood ever since. Martha Mayi, the current owner, took over the store in March 2011 with new management and a fresh atmosphere.
In addition to the dress collection including classic wedding gowns, panina dresses, prom dresses, cocktail dresses and mother of the bride dresses, the store also holds bridal accessories, shoes, crowns, and custom jewelries to meet all the needs for such special celebrations. The dress sizes go from zero to 24.
Currently, Oh So Dressy is running a summer sale and giving bridal party discounts, as well as taking special orders for sweet sixteens.
“I worked as an employee at the store since 1995,” said Martha. “Then I got the opportunity to buy the jewelry counter, and now I got the opportunity to run the store. I’ve been here the longest.”
After being in the business for such a long time, Martha can be exceedingly when making your choice for the dress to perfectly match any occasion. Besides Martha, the store is also staffed by a friendly, courteous and knowledgeable team.
“We serve all kind of customers of different nationalities,” she said. “They come from all over. Some even come from Connecticut and Florida.”
“My future goal is to expand the store. And I want to open a couple more stores in a couple of years.”
The store is opened from10:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Monday through Friday, and 10 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Saturday and 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Sunday.
