I’m wondering if I am the only homeowner (co-op) that is frustrated by the constant noise of landscaping whether it be for three hours straight starting at 8 a.m. or all afternoon, any given day of the week in Douglaston.
I was at my limit when on Labor Day, starting at 8:45 a.m. lasting through 11:30 a.m., several houses on 43rd Avenue in Douglaston had their yards serviced.
The constant noise is making my life miserable. I can’t seem to find anyone who cares in this neighborhood. I’m just glad I don’t work midnights and need to sleep during the day. I am aware of the legal limits of when lawns can be serviced (after 8 a.m.) but I’m really dealing with a quality of life issue because it is consistant noise, random hours, most days of the week.
Isn’t anyone else going to speak up here? Thank you for letting me vent.
The kind ladies at Community Board 11 have been very helpful in trying to solve this issue for me but somehow I feel it is hopeless.
