FLUSHING — Police were searching for a man wanted in connection with a bizarre robbery and sexual assault in the 109th Precinct.

On Nov. 20, a woman was posting fliers outside at about 10:30 p.m. when a burgundy SUV stopped and the driver told her it was illegal, according to the NYPD.

The man produced a business card bearing a police insignia and asked for the woman’s identification, which she did not have, police said.

The man then told the woman to get in the SUV, where two other people were already sitting. The man said they were arrested earlier, according to police.

He then drove the woman to her house, where she went inside to get her ID.

But the man followed her, took her ID, then forced her to undress before sexually harassing her and exposing himself, police said.

The woman fled to a neighbor’s house, while the man took her house keys and laptop and fled as well, according to the NYPD.
