Robber stole victim’s wallet and fled: Police

FOREST HILLS — Police were asking for the public’s help in identifying and locating a man wanted in connection with a December gunpoint robbery in Forest Hills.

The suspect approached a 38-year-old Hispanic man around 4:30 a.m. Dec. 21 in the staircase of 74-45 Yellowstone Blvd. in Forest Hills and allegedly brandished a gun and demanded money, police said.

The suspect then took the victim’s wallet and fled in an unknown direction, police said.

The victim was not injuring during the robbery, police said.

The suspect was described as a Hispanic man between 25 and 30 years old, 5-foot-8-and weighing 160 pounds.

He was last seen wearing a black hoodie with a white Adidas logo on the front, blue jeans and black sneakers with white trim, police said.
