A man was fatally injured after a one-alarm fire ignited inside his Clinton Hill residence late last Friday night, Feb. 17, Fire Department sources said. Reportedly, the inferno broke out at around 11 p.m. at a second-floor apartment in the three-story structure at the corner of DeKalb and Kent avenues. Responding to the scene (in the order of their arrival) were members of Engine companies 235, 211, 210 and 230; Ladder companies 102, 105, 108 and 119; Squad Co. 1; Rescue 2 and Battalions 57 and 35-under the direction of Division 11-along with the 79th Precinct and EMS units. The man was pulled from the location and pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics. Two hose lines were used by firefighters to bring the blaze under control. The cause of the fire is under investigation, FDNY sources said.
