Plaza will help boro biz

I read the reports that there is opposition from merchants to the Jackson Heights pedestrian plaza that was established last fall on 37th Road between 73rd and 74th streets. Some of the opposition claims that the loss of parking spaces has hurt business in the area.

I think the traffic jams that existed there before the establishment of the plaza may not have only caused accidents, but also hurt business.

If the business people wait until better weather comes along and then publicize the wonderful convenience of the plaza, business will not only increase but more people will find the area a wonderful place to hang out and shop.
