State Assemblyman Edward Braunstein (D-Bayside) is sponsoring a spring blood drive in conjunction with the New York Blood Center. The drive will take place April 2 from 2:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Long Island Rail Road Bayside station on Bell Boulevard and 41st Avenue.
All participants will receive a voucher for a free slice of pizza courtesy of Pete’s Pizzeria & Restaurant, at 39-26 Bell Blvd.
The eligibility criteria is as follows:
• Bring ID with photo or signature
• Minimum weight of 110 pounds
• Age 16 to 75, with 16 year olds needing parental permission and those aged 76 and over need doctor’s note
• Eat well and drink plenty of fluids before donating
