Cops Probe Woodside Man’s Demise

Detectives are investigating the mysterious death of a 42- year-old Sunnyside man whose body was found lying by a grave inside Calvary Cemetery in Woodside on Sunday morning, Mar. 25, it was reported.

Police said that a visitor to the burial grounds found Robert Zaretz of 50th Avenue beside a tombstone located in the first section of Calvary Cemetery in the vicinity of the Long Island Expressway and 48th Street at around 9:58 a.m. Sunday.

The man’s body was reportedly half-naked; according to law enforcement sources, Zaretz was found with his pants pulled down and his shirt pulled up over his chest.

Members of the 108th Precinct responded to the scene along with EMS units, who pronounced the man dead at the scene. His body was transported by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner to determine the cause of death.

The case has been presented to the 108th Precinct Detective Squad for further investigation, police said.
