The NYPD is asking for the public’s help in identifying and locating the suspect shown in this photo, who is wanted in connection with a grand larceny in an Astoria repair shop on Wednesday, Feb. 15. According to police sources, the suspect entered the shop, located at 10-12 36th Ave., at 7 a.m. on the aforementioned date and took an unattended pocketbook from a desk, which contained a wallet, cash and credit cards. Approximately 15 minutes later, the suspect reportedly attempted to use a credit card he found in the pocketbook to withdraw money from an ATM machine located less than a mile away, without success. The suspect is described as an African-American male wearing blue jeans, a dark puffy jacket and a black winter cap with ear flaps.
