Members of the New York City Graffiti Removal Unit recently erased tags on the side of the Joseph P. Addabbo Memorial Bridge after being notified of the vandalism by Assemblyman Phil Goldfeder in an Apr. 24 letter. Shown standing near the cleaned crossing, Goldfeder thanked the city for its quick response, adding that “the graffiti was an eyesore for our neighborhood and it needed to be removed.” The bridge-named in honor of the late Rep. Joseph P. Addabbo Sr., father of State Sen. Joseph P. Addabbo- carries Cross Bay Boulevard over the North Channel between the neighborhoods of Howard Beach and Broad Channel.
