Pets Pulled from Burning R.h. Home

Several dogs were rescued by firefighters after a two-alarm fire broke out inside a Richmond Hill home early last Saturday morning, June 23, Fire Department sources said. Reportedly, the blaze ignited at around 1:05 a.m. in the basement and first floor of the dwelling located on 107th Street near 91st Avenue. Responding to the scene (in the order of their arrival) were members of Engine companies 294, 293, 285, 305, 308, 303, 236 and 324; Squad companies 270 and 288; Ladder companies 143, 142, 151, 126 and 127; Rescue 4; Satellite 4 and Battalions 51, 50, 39 and 46-under the direction of Division 13-along with the 102nd Precinct and EMS units. Two firefighters suffered minor injuries while battling the blaze. Four hose lines were used by the responding units to extinguish the blaze, an FDNY source said.
