Bronx-Whitestone Bridge to close for evening

The MTA Bridges and Tunnels Department advises motorists that two lanes in each direction on the Bronx-Whitestone Bridge will be closed Monday night.

Motorists should expect delays and use the Throgs Neck Bridge or the Robert F. Kennedy Bridge as an alternate.

The work requiring the shutdowns will start at 10 p.m. Monday and end at 5:30 a.m. Tuesday.
