Bravest battle all-hands blaze in Jamaica

JAMAICA — Firefighters responded to an all-hands blaze at a Guatemalan specialty store on Hillside Avenue Sunday afternoon in Jamaica.

According to a spokesman for the FDNY, firefighters received a call about the fire in a three-story brick building near 143rd Street at 11:38 a.m.

Tienda Guatemalteca, a Guatemalan shop, is on the ground floor of the building.

No one was injured and the blaze was listed as under control at 12:07 p.m., the spokesman said.
