Following a recent series of sexual assaults in Forest Hills and Rego Park, City Council Member Karen Koslowitz and City Council Speaker Christine Quinn teamed up with the Center for Anti-Violence Education to offer a free self-defense training session at the Forest Hills Jewish Center last Wednesday, Aug. 8. As noted, over 150 people came out ot learn life-saving techniques to protect themselves in the event they are confronted by an attacker.
