Minivan Flips Out on Woodside St.

A woman was injured after the minivan she was driving collided with two other vehicles and overturned on a Woodside street last Wednesday morning, Aug. 1, Fire Department sources said. The accident reportedly occurred at around 7:20 a.m. at the corner of 67th Street and Maurice Avenue. Members of Engine Co. 292, Squad Co. 288, Ladder Co. 136, Rescue 4, Battalion 46, the 104th Precinct, NYPD Emergency Services Unit 10 and EMS units responded to the scene. Using the Hurst tool, commonly known as the “jaws of life,” first responders cut into the minivan to free the injured victim, who had become trapped in the damaged vehicle. She was brought by paramedics to Elmhurst Hospital Center with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
