The Greater Ridgewood Youth Council (GRYC) recently launched its fourth cycle of the “Connect to Success” young adult internship program. As noted, the initiative employs individuals between 17 and 24 years of age who are looking to develop work readiness skills and reconnect to educational opportunities. All participants are selected through a competitive process in order to complete a 14-week paid internship plus a three-week curriculum focused on leadership development. The interns are shown along with Robert Molina, program director; Carmen Resto, assistant program director; Iris Martinez, peer leader; and Tesha Lacey and Alex Velasquez, employment education specialists. For more information about the year-round initiative, call the GRYC at 1-718-456-KIDS.
