ASTORIA — Police were looking for two men who attacked two others with a metal cane and box cutters earlier this month.
Authorities said on July 19 at about 4 a.m., two Hispanic men in their mid-20s each assaulted a different man at Steinway Street near Broadway. Their victims were left with severe lacerations on their heads and faces, police said. After the attack, the perpetrators got into a beige Cadillac lying in wait, which drove south on Steinway Street, police said.
The first suspect was described as having a medium skin tone, about 6 feet 2 inches tall and 180 pounds, police said. He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt and khaki pants, police said.
The second man also had a medium skin complexion, was about 5 feet 9 inches tall and 160 pounds, police said. He was last seen wearing shorts and a blue tank top, police said.
