What may have been a dysfunctional relationship came to a bloody end Wednesday morning when a woman allegedly stabbed her boyfriend to death in the South Jamaica home they shared with their with two young boys, the police and neighbors said.
Police said they arrived at 145th Street near 133rd Avenue and found the male victim, who had not been identified, dead with a stab wound in his neck. An unidentified woman was taken into custody but had not been charged, police said.
Neighbors said the man, who they called Jeffrey, moved to the home from Staten Island about six months ago with his girlfriend, her 12-year-old son and the 2-year-old son the couple had together.
Jeffrey spent a lot of his time making improvements to the house, neighbors said, such as the pink marble fence he erected around the yard.
It was not long after they moved in, however, that neighbors noticed the two were regularly getting into arguments. Neighbors said there was an incident over the summer, when the couple had a party and the cops were called to the house several times.
One neighbor, who asked not to be identified, said the woman broke the fence around the home and was screaming and making a scene.
“She was crazy. He threw her out at one point. The mom was screaming out in front of the house,” said the neighbor, who described Jeffrey as a “great father.”
