Police seek public help in catching Citibank robber

FOREST HILLS — The police were seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect wanted in connection with the robbing of a Citibank in Forest Hills in August.

Police said the suspect entered the bank, at 107-01 71st Ave., just before noon Aug. 31 and passed the teller a note demanding money.

The suspect, described as a white man in his 30s and standing 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing 180 pounds, made off empty-handed, the police said.

He was seen wearing a white T-shirt, shorts and sunglasses and was holding a white towel.
