Vigils, Memorial Ceremonies Scheduled

Prayers, music and readings will help communities across Queens mark the 11th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks at a host of memorial ceremonies scheduled for this coming week.

Communities across Queens will mark the 11th anniversary of the terrorist attacks with vigils and memorial ceremonies in the days ahead.

All are invited to take part in the local tributes to the victims of the attacks on the World Trade Center, the Pentagon and United Airlines Flight 93, which crashed in a field in Shanksville, Pa. For some of the vigils scheduled to take place at night, guests are encouraged to bring their own candles.
