Be ready to sample the diverse food of Woodside.
Woodside on the Move, a local non-profit, is putting on the first ever “Taste of Woodside.”
Adrian Bordoni, executive director of Woodside on the Move, said he is recruiting as many as 20 local restaurants to participate in the inaugural event. Each restaurant will provide food samples to the attendees—with the aim of generating new customers.
The event, which will cost attendees about $25 per ticket (although the amount has not been finalized), will take place inside the Saint Sebastian’s Parish Center on Wednesday, Nov. 7. As many as 250 tickets are likely to be sold.
Bordoni said that the event will include jazz performed by local musician Tony Bruno and an historian who will discuss the history of the Woodside.
The event is loosely based on the Taste of Sunnyside, which many view as a big success. That event will be held for the third time on Oct. 15 at the Sunnyside Community Center (details to come).
