Two elephants said goodbye to the circus and took a walk along a street in Copenhagen, Denmark packed with rush-hour traffic on Wednesday, one following the other with trunk linked to tail. “Nobody was hurt,” a police officer said, “So it was just two elephants out for a stroll!”

The Flamingo casino in Las Vegas said two brown pelicans injured in fishing lines have found a new home at the casino’s Wildlife Sanctuary. The pelicans have been named Bugsy and Virginia after casino founder Benjamin “Bugsy” Siegel and his girlfriend, Virginia Hill.

Police at Eastern Michigan University said a student reported being kicked by a professor when he fell asleep in class. Police Chief Heighes said the student fell asleep during class Monday and the student alleged the professor kicked him in the feet to wake him.
