Celebrating 15 Years of Queens Pride In Jack. Hts.

The Queens Pride House celebrated its 15th anniversary with a benefit event held on Sept. 27 at Novo in Jackson Heights. As noted, the event not only raised funds for its support services to individuals in the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) communities, but also recognized individuals for their work with the Pride House in recent years. The honorees included Selena Blake, a documentarian; Ross Levi of Empire State Development, Rev. Charles McCarron, first executive director of Queens Pride House, Daniel Cano, a Pride House volunteer, and Voces Latinos.
