The owners of 19 neighborhood restaurants will be gathering in one hall next Monday to provide tasty samples from their menus—in what is dubbed the “Taste of Sunnyside 3.”

The event is expected to draw several hundred attendees, all of whom will be able to nibble on a variety of different cuisines, such as Italian, Japanese, French, Mexican and Thai. Additionally, those restaurants that have opened in the past year— such as Takesushi and the Dog and Duck —will be represented.

Each restaurant is expected to provide attendees with a sample of two or three of its most popular items. The aim of the event is to showcase this neighborhood’s restaurants.

This will be the third annual Taste of Sunnyside, with the first one taking place in 2010. The event is being produced through the efforts of Sunnyside Shines (BID) and the Sunnyside Chamber of Commerce.

The event will be held in the Sunnyside Community Services Ballroom on October 15, 2011. There will be two sessions. About two hundred people will be permitted to attend each session. The first will be from 5:30pm to 7:00, with the second one being between 7:30 and 9:00pm.

Tickets cost $25 per person. They can be purchased on line at the following site: http://www.tasteofsunnyside.com/tickets.html
