Rego Park House Charred by Flames

Plywood boards cover the windows of a Rego Park home that was scorched by flames in a one-alarm fire on Sunday night, Jan. 20, it was reported. According to Fire Department sources, the blaze broke out around 7:20 p.m. at a home in the vicinity of 63rd Drive and Everton Street. Responding to the scene (in the order of their arrival) were members of Engine companies 319, 287, 289, 305 and 286; Ladder companies 136, 138, 151 and 135; Squad Co. 288; Rescue 4 and Battalions 46 and 28-under the direction of Division 14-along with the 112th Precinct and EMS units. There were no reported injuries. Three hose lines were used by firefighters to bring the blaze under control, said an FDNY source.
